Introduction to Kris Townsent
Kris Townsent, also known as Thomas Sonntag from Wiesbaden, Germany, has been deeply involved in music since the early 1990s. His musical journey has evolved from a simple keyboard to more substantial equipment, such as drum machines and synthesizers, with a particular focus on Alesis gear. In 2000, he transitioned to digital music production.
After releasing a few trance tracks in 2007 and 2008, Kris truly committed to music in 2015 when he started using the Reason software. In 2019, he switched to FL Studio as his main production tool.
In late 2019, amidst the pandemic, Kris seized the opportunity to redefine his musical identity. During this transformative period, he composed his first song, exploring the incorporation of orchestral elements. This exploration led to the captivating and inspiring fusion of orchestral and electronic genres.
In May 2022, Kris reached a significant milestone by releasing his very first song, laying the foundation for his subsequent works. The second song, ‘Xploring Space,’ expanded his sound palette by incorporating electronic elements, further enriching the genre fusion that defines his artistic expression.
Engaged in a continuous process of refinement, Kris independently manages mixing, mastering, and marketing, embodying the independence characteristic of independent musicians.
